Terms of Service

These terms govern any quote, work or service provided by FIX & FINISH, a trading name of SZO Limited, registered in Ireland under Company No. 799620. By requesting a quote or instructing us to carry out work, you accept these terms.

Quotes are based on the information you share and a reasonable site assessment. Where the actual work materially differs from what was described, we'll discuss any change with you before proceeding. No surprise charges. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

We carry out every trade except gas works. For gas installations, servicing or repairs, we will refer you to a Registered Gas Installer (RGI). We do not carry out major electrical wiring beyond minor fittings; for major electrical work we will refer you to a Safe Electric registered electrician.

Where we supply materials, ownership transfers to you on full payment. Where you supply materials, you confirm they are fit for purpose and we accept no liability for failure caused by defective customer-supplied materials.

For small jobs, payment is due on completion. For larger jobs, a deposit may be required and the schedule will be agreed in writing in the quote. Late payment may attract interest under the European Communities (Late Payment in Commercial Transactions) Regulations.

We guarantee our workmanship for 12 months from completion against defects caused solely by our work. Manufacturer warranties on supplied products apply per the manufacturer.

To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, FIX & FINISH / SZO Limited's total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with services provided is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific work giving rise to the claim.

We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses (including loss of profits, loss of use, or loss of data). Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by Irish law.

Our public liability insurance covers accidental damage caused by our team during the course of the work.

You may cancel a booked job up to 24 hours in advance at no charge. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a small call-out fee covering reserved time and travel.

If you're not happy with our work, contact us first, we'd rather make it right than argue. These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and the Irish courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
